SOUND
DESIGN
I was the sound designer for The Colored Museum, at the University of Alabama. One of my favorite sounds designs that I created was for Soldier with a Secret. I loved layering and altering various unique and common sounds together to create the eerie and haunting vibe that the director was looking for. I played with which speaker various explosions and gunfire came out of in the theatre, so the audience would feel like they were caught in the middle of a war, and have a sense of uneasiness because they did not know which speaker the various war noises would come out of next.

I researched this product, wrote the script, performed and recorded the voiceover, found the various sound effects and music, and edited it all together for a grad school assignment.

RECORDING
EDITING
&
My students and I recorded and edited various episodes of The Admittedly Useful Podcast, for the Undergraduate Admissions and Scholarships Office at the University of Alabama. We recorded it during the pandemic, which meant I had to work with IT to allow us to monitor the software and audio levels in a completely different location from our podcast host and guests.
I also created the logo that was utilized for the podcast and edited several of the episodes.

This podcast was recorded by the host, on her computer, via Zoom. Although I did not record the podcast, I edited it for her. I also had to find the examples from the film, capture them from the internet and edit it into the podcast. I have edited several episodes of this podcast.
